    The Business Development Manager plays a crucial role in our organization, ARCADE, by identifying new growth opportunities in both domestic and international markets for products in the Arcade and Askia Furniture portfolios (available at ) and develop appropriate strategies to address these opportunities, , acting as the primary point of contact for our key clients.

    The Business Development Manager ("BDM") initiates, promotes, and develops long-term relationships with our clients as well as the architecture and design community.

    BDM will collaborate with various internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction, propose tailored solutions, and implement and execute strategies that align with both the client's and the organization's objectives.



    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and execute a plan to identify and acquire new clients, as well as build strong relationships with the architecture and design community in the assigned territories. Responsibilities require a combination of research and prospecting of potential clients through tracking and proactive outreach.
    • Schedule meetings with potential clients, both directly and through networking events and conferences/profile events.
    • Manage the portfolio of key partners/key accounts within Arcade/Askia Furniture to assess satisfaction and their requirements.
    • Monitor market trends and competitors, with continuous appraisal of market needs and proposal of new alignment approaches needed to maintain a competitive advantage in the market.
    • Track sales figures, margins, and costs, assess them against company objectives, and adjust as necessary.
    • Present and negotiate commercial proposals with the purpose of concluding profitable contracts for the company.
    • Collaborate with various departments to provide market product information and identify new development directions.
    • Strengthen lasting relationships with existing clients and key partners.
    • Success in this role will be demonstrated by the ability to identify, develop, and maintain new business relationships, propose products and opportunities that lead to increased business revenue/profitability.
    • Deepen product knowledge and understanding of the company's clients.
    • Implement sales, marketing, and product development strategies.
    • Oversee the progress of the company's strategic initiatives.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor/University Degree preferred (Business, Marketing, Design, or equivalent studies).
    • Fluent in English (professional business level). German/French language skills are an advantage.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in new business development. Developing a client network in the external market is an advantage.
    • Work experience in sales B2B, preferably in the office furniture industry, decorations, design, or closely related industry.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
