    Introduction

    Pioneering role in Romania for a sustainable railway transport, through innovative solutions

    For almost 30 years, Alstom has been an innovative pioneer playing an important role in Romania's transition towards a modern and sustainable railway transport. From state-of-the-art digital rail control, to infrastructure and electrification projects, along with metro trains and the long-term maintenance of the metro fleet in the country's capital city Bucharest, Alstom is constantly making a difference in the mainline and urban rail transport in Romania.

    Overview:

    The Telecom Design Engineer position, reporting direct to Telecom Manager will be responsible to prepare and execute telecom networks design. He / she will coordinate design of the telecom design suppliers and support the tracking of the telecom relevant correspondence and telecom planning activities.

    Specific responsibilities of the role:

    • Analyze the work procedures and work methods statement for telecom networks design and make suggestions for improvement if necessary
    • Take part effectively in clarification and coordination meetings dedicated for telecom
    • Record the result of design activities and prepare suitable reports for activities performed
    • Design of telecom networks

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Educated to University Degree level in Electronics or Automation Engineering
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in Telecom engineering.
    • IP certification like CCNA, CCNP is a plus:
      • Good knowledge in IP based technologies & protocols such as TCP/IP, Routing Protocols like OSPF, BGP, RIP, IS - IS, MPLS, Traffic Engineering, QoS;
      • Network topology and LAN/WAN design;
      • IP address planning, IP configuration files, network design specifications;
      • Ability to link the customer requests to hardware, services and service development
    • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office package
    • Experience with AutoCAD is a plus.
    • Good English language proficiency
