Mission:
The main goal of the Manufacturing Engineer position is to discover, explore, and/or develop cutting-edge and cost-efficient technology solutions essential for producing both current and upcoming products in the best way possible.
This includes outlining a technology plan for manufacturing, both for existing and new products. When it comes to new technologies, the individual in this role will take steps from the initial idea phase all the way to successful execution.Responsibilities:
- Implementing Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
- Ensuring the establishment of new processes with Lean principles, such as: creating standardized work instructions, balancing production lines, optimizing layout and work sequence, developing training programs, utilizing Value Stream Mapping, conducting Kaizen/5S activities, setting up pull systems, applying TPM (total preventive maintenance), designing work cells, and optimizing quick changeovers and batch sizes.
- Leading continuous enhancement initiatives in manufacturing processes.- Assessing and comparing top-notch manufacturing techniques.
- Planning and executing pilot tests and scaling up manufacturing technologies.
- Collaborating with Manufacturing and Engineering teams and other involved parties during process validation tests. * Assisting the Manufacturing Engineer (DFM) with specific technology challenges or limitations related to new product development and repair & return projects.
- Cooperating with Manufacturing teams and other departments within the organization to exchange and leverage best methods.
- Ensuring that technology solutions for manufacturing meet the expected standards of quality, reliability, and uniformity.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree, with a preference for Mechanical Engineering or Oil and Gas related fields.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in operating and programming CNC machines.
- Familiarity with Autodesk software (Inventor or AutoCAD).
Computer skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Intermediate level of English language proficiency;
- Basic understanding of machining processes.
