Let's talk about the role

The P&C Pricing & Modelling (P&M) team provides comprehensive risk pricing and modelling analyses to company's underwriting teams, ensuring adequate solutions for its clients. The P&M teams are also highly involved in the development and improvement of methods, tools and processes for Pricing and Modelling, as well as the integration of data science and AI.

As a Senior Pricing Actuary, you'll help shape how we evaluate and price risk, working closely with underwriting teams worldwide to turn complex data into actionable insights. You'll refine models, develop tools, and contribute to research that deepens our understanding of risk—ensuring accurate pricing, smooth renewals, data-driven decisions that move the business forward and train and mentor junior staff. We also have available Pricing Actuary roles and Lead Pricing Actuary role.

What will you do?

Handle standard operational pricing tasks related to data management (checking, capturing, reprocessing, importing) and modelling (loss model creation, data & indices assignment, modelling, calibration, blending, catastrophe accumulation).
Drive effective collaboration with nearshore and onshore teams to ensure smooth renewal process following pricing/modelling guidelines.
Contribute to annual studies, Standard dashboard creation, Testing and support development of new methods/tools.
Assist in R&D activities to improve SCOR's view of risks and the pricing and modelling models, in close collaboration with P&C operations (Non-Cat R&D).
Participate in the development and sharing of knowledge across teams.
Help to assess and improve the P&M processes, workflows, methods, tools (xAct, vendor models, new tools, ...), identifying opportunities for automation, standardisation and greater efficiency, focus on the creation of innovative and tailor-made solutions adapted to the change in portfolio mix.
Participate and oversee projects, working closely with onshore teams and collaborating with P&C Operations and other stakeholders.
Develop code, support testing and maintenance, and collaborate with IT.
Consult stakeholders to ensure user feedback and findings following release of new tools are incorporated.
Extract insights from data to support decision-making within pricing / modelling teams, underwriting functions and management.
Maintain and streamline dataflows in Pricing & Modelling, P&C, and Group databases (PANEL, ARC Sandbox, Foundry).

What are we looking for?

Experience in financial services, ideally (re)insurance, with focus on analytical/actuarial work (e.g., product structuring, financial instruments, pricing tools); familiarity with P&C underwriting is a plus.
Strong mathematical, modelling, and technical background with expertise in digital technologies.
Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office; skilled in SQL, GIS, and programming (R/Python), with professional experience in data science, predictive modelling, machine learning, and AI.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills; able to explain complex topics to non-technical stakeholders.
Highly motivated, organized, and adaptable professional with strong work ethic, maturity to work across diverse teams, and a proactive, creative approach to challenges.
Business fluent in English (written and spoken).

Your Background

Bachelor's degree in mathematics, actuarial science, other scientific discipline (statistics, physics, natural science), economics or finance.
An advanced degree (master's or PhD) would be a plus.
Insurance qualifications or actuarial credentials are strongly preferred.
