    Our client is looking for an experienced Civil PM to manage the construction of energy projects within technologies such as wind and solar. You will manage projects from permission through EPC to 'handover' to Operations

    As Civil Project Manager, you become a part of the Engineering Procurement Construction department (EPC). You will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of a project within construction.

    Your role

    As Project Manager, you'll be the overall responsible for your construction project. The role covers responsibilities such as stakeholder expectations, costs, schedule, project controls, reporting, and project team during the project's EPC phase.

    The EPC Project Manager works closely with our consultants and collaborates with the company's Development and Finance teams cross-functionally, to oversee and deliver the successful design and build of our energy assets.

    The position is also responsible for organizing work on building sites, making sure it's completed safely, on time and within budget. You'll liaise with designers, surveyors, and contractors to ensure a project is on track.

    Your tasks in this role will include:

    ·
    Manage projects from permission through EPC to 'handover' to operations.

    ·
    Assess and manage internal and external resources and be able to co-operate across different cultures and personalities.

    ·
    Stakeholder management (landowners, authorities, grid operators, contractors etc.)

    ·
    Reporting (financial, risk and time)

    ·
    For the right candidate, the position can, in combination with the above, be a more technology-focused position e.g., responsible for a certain technology across Eurowind Energy.

    ·
    Collaborate with the project team to determine project specifications.

    ·
    Work with the engineering team to ensure project designs meet or exceed internal and/or external requirements.

    ·
    Assist in the development of project EPC budgets & cost estimates.

    ·
    Work with vendors and subcontractors to obtain the best pricing & terms.

    ·
    Draft & negotiate subcontracts and scope of work documents.

    ·
    Develop and maintain project EPC schedules and timelines.

    ·
    Manage prime contract & subcontract requirements.

    ·
    Work with Construction Site Managers/External Consultants to oversee the subcontractor's productivity and performance.

    ·
    Manage project budgets, cash flows and cost reporting.

    ·
    Evaluate project progress and prepare detailed reports.

    ·
    Create and maintain project documentation.

    ·
    Conducting quality and safety inspections.

    ·
    Check the subcontractor's allowance sheets.

    ·
    Checking and preparing site reports, designs, and drawings.

    ·
    Day to day problem solving and dealing with any issues that arise.

    ·
    Organize and conduct site meetings.

    ·
    Keep in touch with the authorities regarding the implementation of the project and compliance with the legal conditions.

    Coordinate the relations between the designers, construction contractors and site inspectors.

    ·
    Coordinate the HSE inspector on site.

    ·
    Coordinate and supervise the required tests for construction works and equipment.

    ·
    Represent the Investor in front of authorities (on site).

    ·       Responsible for the civil work's detailed design supervision and approval.

    ·
    Responsible for the approval of contractor's working procedure and material approval forms (MAF).

    Coordinate and supervise the civil works onsite.

    Responsible for the civil work's As built design supervision and approval.

    ·
    Coordinate of the official take-over of the power plant according to the building permit.

    Coordinate the registration of the power plant into the land registry book.

    Your profile

    We are seeking an experienced candidate who has worked with the construction of energy plants or process installations. The ideal candidate should possess an engineering background or equivalent technical experience within the industry and possess several of the competencies below:

    ·
    Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Master's degree in engineering is a plus.

    ·
    5+ years of project management experience

    ·
    Very good understanding of the construction implementation of a renewable project from construction and grid connection point of view

    ·
    Thorough understanding and implementation of projects in accordance with contracts

    ·
    Excellent solution-seeking, teamwork, and communication skills

    ·
    Preferably experience with cross-border collaboration and activities

    ·
    Very good knowledge of MS Office suite

    ·
    Very good working knowledge of English language

    Experience from the renewable energy industry is an advantage but not a requirement.
