For our customer, a world leader in the automotive industry, we are looking for a Tooling Engineer who will be responsible for the design and development of tools in the product development process for decorative parts.

Tooling engineers play an essential role in the automotive assembly process and are the unsung heroes who work behind the scenes to get products out the door that meet the highest quality standards.

Job responsibilities:
Check the tool design in all stages of the process in partnership with the supplier;
Supervise the manufacturing of the tools at the supplier's site in compliance with the set milestones;
Participate in the tool trials according to the Project Execution Plan/PEP (T0, T1, etc.) ;
Responsible for the reception of the tool in the production sites and support the set-up;
Ensure the maintenance instructions for the tools are met when they are handed over to production;
Ensure the proper running of the tools and improvements up to SOP;
Cost, schedule, and resource planning for the projects to be supervised;
Contact person for all production sites (Europe-wide).


Job requirements:
University degree in a technical field;
Minimum three years of experience in the areas of construction, design, and production of tools;
Basic knowledge of injection molding materials and processes;
Good knowledge of CATIA or similar design software;
Project management skills preferred;
Good command of English; German would be a plus;
Willingness to travel internationally, occasionally;

The position is located in Brașov Metropolitan Area and reports directly to the Central Tooling at the Corporate Center in Germany.
