    Role Overview

    The Head of M&A – Europe will lead all aspects of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures within the region. The role demands a strategic thinker and deal-maker capable of identifying, evaluating, and executing growth opportunities that align with CG Corp Global's long-term objectives.

    This individual will act as a key advisor to the Group's leadership on European expansion, working closely with sectoral CEOs, finance, and legal teams to ensure seamless deal execution and post-merger integration.

    Key Responsibilities

    M&A Strategy & Pipeline Development

    • Formulate and execute the M&A and investment strategy for the European region aligned with global business goals.
    • Identify potential acquisition, partnership, or divestment opportunities across FMCG, automotive, and other growth industries.
    • Conduct detailed market mapping, competitor benchmarking, and financial feasibility analysis to build a robust deal pipeline.

    Deal Origination & Execution

    • Lead end-to-end M&A process — from sourcing, valuation, financial modeling, and due diligence to negotiation and closure.
    • Work with external advisors, investment banks, and consulting firms to evaluate strategic options.
    • Structure deals that maximize shareholder value and strengthen CG's regional footprint.

    Strategic Partnerships & Joint Ventures

    • Build and nurture partnerships with key regional players, distributors, and potential JV collaborators.
    • Evaluate strategic alliances that support technology transfer, distribution expansion, and new product entries.

    Financial & Commercial Leadership

    • Conduct detailed financial and operational due diligence for target entities.
    • Partner with the Finance and Legal teams to ensure compliance, tax efficiency, and risk mitigation.
    • Assess post-acquisition integration plans and track synergy realization.

    Leadership & Collaboration

    • Work closely with the Group M&A team and Regional Business Heads to ensure alignment between corporate strategy and regional execution.
    • Provide periodic updates and strategic recommendations to the Group Chairman's Office and Global M&A Head.

    Key Deliverables / KPIs

    • Number and value of successful deals originated and closed annually.
    • ROI and synergy realization from completed transactions.
    • Expansion of CG Corp's presence in new European markets and industries.
    • Strength and depth of strategic partnerships established.
    • Timely completion of due diligence, deal documentation, and integration milestones.

    Candidate Profile

    • MBA (Finance/Strategy) or equivalent from a reputed institution.
    • Chartered Accountant or CFA qualification preferred.

    Experience:

    • 15+ years of progressive experience in M&A, investment banking, or corporate development, preferably within FMCG, automotive, or diversified conglomerate environments.
    • Proven track record of executing complex cross-border transactions and partnerships in Europe.
    • Strong financial acumen with expertise in valuation, deal structuring, and due diligence.
    • Established network across investment banks, advisory firms, and strategic investors in the region.
