Role description:

This role is part of Arcadis' Global Excellence Centre (GEC) and will join ourtalented individuals working in India, Romania, and Philippines, in partnership with Arcadis' offices globally.

The MEPF Discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection) in the GECs is comprised of cross-functional teams, that contribute to the development of innovative MEPF solutions that optimize energy efficiency, sustainability, and occupant comfort.

Our ability to effectively manage projects, assess client needs, and provide technical guidance is crucial in delivering successful outcomes, using the most innovative way of doing computational design.

Role accountabilities:
Do engineering design of the BMS systems inside buildings from different sectors. This includes all calculations, layouts, schematics needed for such a system to be implemented.
Build proficiency in REVIT and BIM checking software as well as other software used in calculation.
Plan, organize, and execute projects effectively. This includes managing budgets, coordinating with other disciplines, and overseeing the work of junior engineers or technicians.
Estimating necessary budget, resource list and schedule for the scope of the project related to BMS.

Attend relevant design and client meetings to gain a better understanding of the project and design work required, asking questions of the internal team as necessary.

Ensure that the BMS designs meet safety and environmental regulations, sustainability and energy efficiencies regulations following industry standards and guidelines.

Follow company standards and procedures including design and checking as well as local/national/international standard in the field.


Qualifications & Experience:

Mandatory:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Low Voltage or Building services;
Strong knowledge of building automation systems, including HVAC, lighting, access control and fire protection systems;
They possess knowledge of protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks.
BMS Engineers have expertise in programming and integrating various subsystems within a building automation system.
They can develop customized control strategies and integrate different systems to work seamlessly together.
Minimum 6 years of experience in electrical design for buildings (power, lighting, grounding, lightning protection).
Candidate to have problem solving skills, creativity, to show proactivity and analytical skills.
Very good planning, organizational, and communication skills are necessary for success in this position.
Implementation of quality procedure to ensure a good design deliverable.
Comprehensive leadership skills and previous experience in managing large-scale projects.

Very strong communication skills, both verbal and written, needed for collaborating with clients, architects, project managers, and other stakeholders throughout the design process.

Eagerness to mentorship junior engineers.
Advanced English language skills.


Nice to have:
Knowledge of electrical specialized software (EPLAN, etc.).
ANRE certificate IIA.
Security systems designer certification.
Candidate to show out-of-the box thinking in order to identify any opportunities for automation or innovation.
