    YOUR MISSION
    Major industrial construction CAPEX project in the Cement Industry

    You will contribute to the health and safety initiatives for a major industrial construction CAPEX project in the cement industry.

    As our colleague, you will ensure that the project complies with all relevant health and safety regulations and industry best practices, maintaining a safe work environment for all personnel involved by taking a proactive approach to safety.

    Reporting to the H&S Manager, your main target is to ensure the successful completion of Capital Projects with zero reportable accidents.


    You will provide:
    expert technical knowledge across the Capital Projects, relating to infrastructure and facilities design, construction, and maintenance.

    implement the governance, coordination and reporting process required to ensure that all assigned projects are complying with and supporting Health, Safety and Environmental requirements of Romcim and CRH Group Safety.

    MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Policies & Procedures
    Contribute to developing and assure implementation of health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines specific to the cement industry.
    Maintain a high level of preparedness for emergency situations.
    Risk Assessment & Investigation
    Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards,assess risks, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

    Complete regular Health and Safety compliance evaluations, inspections, and audits – record outputs and liaise with H&S Manager and site management to ensure actions are completed.

    Coordinate with regulatory agencies, as necessary, to ensure compliance with all health and safety laws and regulations.
    Investigate incidents, near misses, and other safety-related issues, and develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to mitigate-future risks.

    H&S Guidance


    guidance to site personnel, promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring that all employees and contractors understand and adhere to safety protocols.

    comprehensive health and safety training programs for employees and contractors, covering topics such as hazard recognition, personal protective equipment (PPE), emergency response, and more.

    expert technical knowledge to Managers to enable compliance of all aspects of Health and Safety primarily relating to design, construction, and maintenance of Project sites.

    project managers to ensure construction sites are established and welfare provisions are compliant with all current regulations and standards.

    H&S Monitoring


    and support Site activities, provide input to project managersand managers to ensure full compliance is met with relating to Client regulations.

    the implementation of actions to prevent recurrence post incident.
    accident statistics and propose and take remedial action where necessary.

    Logistics & Equipment

    Identify the needs of the personal protective equipment necessary according to the local legal provisions and in accordance with the Group standards.


    QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
    Bachelors degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, engineering, or a related field. A relevant professional certification is a plus.
    Certified "Technical specialist with responsibilities in the field of Fire Protection" training (164h) is a plus.
    Change Management and Risk Assessment Management knowledge - proficiency in conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety training programs.

    Proven experience (min 3 years) as a Health & Safety Engineer or in a similar role within the industrial construction or heavy manufacturing industry, with specific experience related industries, experience and knowledge of cement plant construction site and operation is a plus.

    In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices, particularly as they relate to large-scale industrial construction projects.

    Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage all employees in H&S compliance actions.
    Experience working with regulatory agencies and managing health and safety compliance.
    Demonstrated ability to implement effective health and safety programs that drive continuous improvement.
    Quality and environmental awareness.
    English proficiency is compulsory.

    advanced computing and applications.
    Flexible for international mobility.
