    Job Summary:


    As a Reconciliation Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and consistency in financial records by comparing and reconciling discrepancies between various accounts, statements, and records.

    This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work with large volumes of data.

    The Reconciliation Specialist will collaborate closely with other departments such as accounting, finance, and auditing to resolve discrepancies and maintain the integrity of financial information.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Merging internal and diverse external data.
    Perform initial analysis to assess the quality of the data, ensuring it is accurate and consistent; investigating any anomalies.
    Compare transaction data between internal systems and external sources, such as payment gateways,to identify discrepancies.
    Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of financial transactions processed by the payment service provider and the internal database.
    Investigate and resolve discrepancies in transaction records promptly and efficiently.
    Collaborate with relevant teams ( finance, payments) to gather information and documentation necessary for reconciliation.
    Settlement reconciliations, monitor payment providers, and track them accordingly.
    Maintain comprehensive documentation of reconciliation procedures, findings, and resolutions.
    Identify opportunities to streamline reconciliation processes and improve efficiency.
    Documenting processes and procedures and ensuring compliance standards.

    Requirements:
    Proven experience in financial reconciliation or accounting.
    Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
    Proficiency in using spreadsheet software (., Microsoft Excel) and accounting software.
    Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
    Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
    Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards related to financial reporting and reconciliation.
    Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions.
    Prior experience in process improvement initiatives is desirable.
