    The role

    As Head of the HSE Office, you will be responsible for leading and implementing the company's health and safety strategy, ensuring full compliance with national legislation and industry standards. This is a key leadership position with direct impact on operational safety and workforce well-being.

    Key accountabilities

    • Coordinate and supervise all Health and Safety activities across the company.
    • Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures in compliance with current legislation.
    • Manage relations with relevant authorities.
    • Organize and conduct regular HSE trainings for employees.
    • Investigate workplace accidents and propose corrective actions.
    • Lead the HSE team and collaborate with other departments (technical, HR, production, etc.).
    • ·  Experience in coordinating foreign or expatriate personnel, including knowledge of specific safety briefing and integration procedures.
    • ·  Familiarity with procedures for obtaining work permits, medical clearances, and compliance for international staff.
    • ·  Ability to communicate clearly in English; knowledge of other foreign languages is a plus.
    • ·  Strong organizational and intercultural communication skills.

    Skills & experience

    • University degree (preferably in a technical field).
    • Certified HSE specialist – advanced level, according to Romanian legislation (HG 1425/2006).
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in shipbuilding or heavy industry.
    • Strong knowledge of HSE and Fire Safety legislation.
    • Leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
    • Computer skills (MS Office).
    • Driving license (Category B) – is an advantage.
