The Opportunity

At OpenText, we are looking for a motivated, highly passionate Automation QA engineer for our development team, which is part of ADM R&D Group.

We are looking for a mix of experience, talent, skill set, and confidence to work with a world class development team at the OpenText Cluj office.

Your responsibility will be to improve and extend the automation framework and automation coverage, as well as maintaining and monitoring existing automated tests.

The automation team focuses both on automated tests and automation coverage and automation framework infrastructure. You will have complete ownership of assigned features in terms of quality.

You Are Great At

• Developing automated tests using existing automation frameworks and contribute to extending the frameworks according to product needs
• Understanding how automation framework infrastructure works
• Reporting defects with appropriate supporting information for developers to investigate and prepare a fix
• Working closely with other team members and participate in the Agile/SCRUM process
• Cooperating with the automation architect and other team members to analyze, find and implement the proper solution
• Working according to high execution standards while adhering to project goals and ensuring high quality
• Always be the customer advocate: think, act, and test according to customer usage and scenarios
• Work closely with local and remote R&D teams while keeping high visibility and effective communication

What It Takes

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or technical discipline
• Advanced experience with Java, Selenium
• Advanced experience with Continuous Integration tools
• Advanced experience with Git
• Experience in testing complex enterprise-level applications
• Experience with REST API testing
• Good understanding of the agile software development lifecycle

Required Mandatory Skills

• At least 2 years of hands-on test automation (preferred with Java and Selenium)
• At least 2 years of hands-on manual testing web applications
• Excellent communication and written skills
