Mission:
We are seeking an experienced finance professional to join our Shared Service Center in Bucharest, focusing on supporting our operations in Italy.
For one or more legal entities in Italy:
responsible for the deadlines and quality of the financial statements (Group and Statutory), as well as the reliability of the data provided to internal and external stakeholders;
support the Country Finance Manager in validating financial statements and other reports for internal and external needs;
Main responsibilities:
Oversee all accounting activities for our Italian operations within the Bucharest Shared Service Center;
General review of the monthly closure process prepared in accordance with the Group's standards and Statutory; requirements to guarantee the economic coherence of the financial statements and facilitate their validation by the Country Finance Manager;
Ensure quality of accounting data used for preparing tax returns;
Prepare and submit for validation to the Country Finance Manager the Statutory reporting as per;
Oversee the Group and Statutory audits as the single point of contact;
Prepare or contribute to business forecasts in order to satisfy internal and external needs;
In case of regulatory or fiscal controls, present and explain the relevant accounting data;
Provide guidance on financial matters to the Country Finance Manager and various departments and assist in decision-making processes;
Stay updated on IFRS and Italian accounting standards and industry best practices;
Make recommendations for process improvements and efficiencies;
Other financial accounting matters and ad-hoc financial projects;
What we are looking for:
minimum 2-3 years of experience in a relevant senior accounting role, preferably within a Shared Service Center or a multinational company;
To have or be studying for an ACCA/CIMA qualification;
Proficiency in English and intermediate Italian language;
Strong understanding of IFRS accounting principles and regulations; knowledge of Italian local regulations would be a plus;
Knowledge and experience with direct taxes (corporate income tax) would be considered a plus;
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
Some limited international travel may be required;
Strong communication and interpersonal skills (main interlocutors will be from Romania, Italy and France);
